JT Girls- question about lounge for guests before CH and about Viennese

I was just checking out the JT website and I was looking under menus. I saw under additional services it says Piano Lounge which for $1 per person you can get unlimited beer, wine, soda and juice for your guests prior to the CH. Now is that the room in the back of JT with the nice bar and couches/tables/fireplace and waterfall things??

I thought that was free for the guests to use before the CH? Or is it mean if you dont want your guests to pay for their drinks while waiting its an extra $1?

Also about the Viennese Course (which is a 1/2 viennese no extra hour added) it offers silver trays of cookies and pasteries now does anyone know can I ask them to have christmas cookies instead of regular ones? haha maybe Nicole might know (futuremulligan)

Hmm, all good questions, Catie, but I think you need to call JT.

My thoughts are that most people won't go to the JT early and I'm sure they'll open up your cocktail hour room at least 10 minutes early so people aren't just standing around. Since you are getting married at a church, with a large gap in between, most people will go home or find something to do. i don't think anyone will go sit at the JT for 3 hours, KWIM?

Also, I think Nicole is having Christmas cookies. I thought I heard her mention that before.

I have no idea, but I plan on eating lots of pastries and drinking lots of liquor at your wedding, so you shoudl definitely upgrade to both of these.

We were told it was free. It's for guests that arrive earlier than our CH.

Same for us. But we are getting married there and they are opening the lounge at i think 4 for me and my family that will be taking pictures before time.

but anyway yeah i thought nicole might have said she was getting christmas cookies. and that is true what you are saying about the time in between. people will prob find things to do they did for FBIL wedding. I do feel bad though I have such a big gap. But my BM told me we couldnt move the time to 7:00 instead of 7:30 to start weird huh?! haha idk

yeah my mom was like oh you have to have a viennese hour with desserts she is like me def a sweet tooth haha. but i said NOT for $15 a person. lolol Thats why I am thinking the trays of cookies/pasteries on the tables i think it is an extra $5-6 a person not too bad. Or I might add an hour onto my reception not too sure yet which one I want to do.

um my BM is Vinny. Dont get me wrong he is such a nice guy but I get intimidated very easily talking to people over the phone and in person. If I was booking everything on my own we seriously would be paying ridiculous amounts for our vendors because I can negotiate for crap haha thankfully FH can

don't forget they also have a canoli ice cream bar...it wasnt in the extras side with a price, it was in the section with things they provide you with such as cake and other things so might be free if you ask

oh ok i got ya. i didnt think there was a bride on my day, actually i think it is an office party for christmas if i remember correctly what my BM was telling me

They told me the lounge was free...but I have to call them for more info on a couple of other things so I will ask to make sure. I wouldn't want my guests to pay either.

They should also be able to do Christmas cookies for you.

Don't be intimidated to call your BM...that's what they are there for. After all you're paying them a lot of $$.
