JT quote....

Ok so I went last night and got a GREAT quote BUT im sad LOL

INCLUDING Taxes & Grats.... Friday night in December 2011 = $109.50 which is PHENOMINAL however......

#1 - I have 100 people, and I HATE the Oak room! I feel like it's in the basement of a funeral home LOL just sayin.....

#2 - To get the Skylight room, they originally said 150 people for a Friday.... but he went down to 135! Honestly, I didn't want to have a BIG wedding and realy wanted to keep it at 100.... plus the cost is $5K more than we can spend for reception!

This just stinks! Why are places so annoying when it comes to minimum!

Any ideas????

We need a place with GREAT Italian food!

THANKS ladies

I know it's far from there, but have you looked at the lombardi's?? I actually got a great price for a saturday wedding in November. I know that starting the third week in november they have a 'winter package' that allows them to be cheaper. The food is amazing!! and they give you soooo much! fm if you have questions.

What about Vetro? Not sure how much, but I know they specialize in smaller weddings.

Check out crestwood manor or venitnian yatch club. it is owned by the same people and the Italian food is great! Im getting married at crestwood and my min is 100.

Re: JT quote....

I spent 3 months looking at RH's because I had the same problem! My first choice was the Rivieria in Massapequa, but they wanted a min of 150 for the room I loved. My other choices were Swan Club and Westbury Manor. Westbury Manor wanted a min of 75 guests but honestly I didn't 'feel' the upstairs rooms that much.
FH wanted it to be at Coral House but I didn't like the small room they were going to place us in. Same deal at Douglaston Manor.

In the end, it came down to Swan Club and Leonards of Great Neck. Good prices from both, and the smaller rooms were ideal - we ended up negotiating it down to a 50 person minimum which we have no trouble meeting.

Russos on the Bay (Vetro) has a room that accomodates wedding of under 100 guests, so you may want to check that out too.

Or offer to pay JT fr some extras and see if they'll lower the minimum even more for the other room.
