Book Honeymoon- monday
meet again with officiant to plan and write ceremony (we are interfaith and will be married by a unitarian minister)

As we are having a wedding of 100 people there are certain things we are not doing.

No limos
No FG RB
No bridal party except BM and MOH
No videos

So far I have:

THANKS! My big problem is I cannot make a decision! I'm afraid I will pick something and then find something better! Part of the problem is my MOHs live in Boston and FL and most of my BMs live in CT so it is difficult for them to come with me. I am currently calling all over LI looking for Alvina Valenta dresses but so few stores have them! Don't even get me started on headpieces...I feel like I have been everywhere and can't find anything I like!

We did book our honeymoon which is exciting....woohoo!!!

Congrats on booking your honeymoon! So where are you going?

My BM live all over the country too (FL,OK, CA and NY). This is how I picked my dresses:
1) I knew what color I wanted (turquoise like) so what I had to was find a designer that made 2 dresses that I liked in that style (MOH and BM are wearing different dresses)
2) I used theknot.com to find a list of designers then I went through the sites and looked at the color swatches.
3) I ended up liking Jim Hjelm designs and I found out that he can switch dresses to the color I wanted for an additional charge.
4) I selected the 2 styles I liked, and I emailed it to my BM asking for their opinions. I told them that if they didn't like the dress they could let me know and if they want to suggest another one then that was fine. I also let them know that I was not willing to change the color, but if they found another designer that made 2 dresses with a turquoise color then let me know.
5) The BM liked my dresses and during the holidays all but one BM came to NY to get measured. The one that lives in FL will call in her measurements

That's how I did it. It's much harder if you wait for input from everyone. I would suggest picking a style or a color you like. Once you do that ask your BM opinions on the dresses. If they don't like it, tell them to suggest another one with a similar style (or color). But honestly, I'm sure you have good tastes and your BM would like whatever you pick.

Have you seen the Alvina Valenta dress that you liked in person? Some stores may not have the dress , but can still order it. So as long as you like it, then you can still order it.

I have major decision making issues. I need a support group. Most days I can't even decide what to eat for dinner....how am I supposed to plan a wedding? All kidding aside part of my problem is that I don't really want a specific color. I figure I will just pick a dress and find a color I like. I really am going to make a decision soon...the ladies at Bridal Reflections (Where I am getting tem) told me I have until the end of the month.

As far as our HM we are going to Bora Bora and Moorea!!!! I am so happy because I had originally given this up to have Sherwood-Triart as our photographer (which is $$) but I ended up talking FH into it and we are going anyway!

I made one decision today....I decided on my wedding band! Phew!

Congrats on picking your band! How did you decide on them?

You need a support group, well ask no more! I am here as well as the rest of the JULY brides to help you. What type of style dresses do you like? Tea length, long, strapless, halterback? Give us something to work with. I know how hard it is to make a decision, and I am one of those people that tends to second guess my decision unless I am absolutely sure about it. Do you have any idea what type of flowers you may want? What is your favorite color? Some of these things might help you decide. Oh, on way that helped me was by actually trying on the dresses. If they looked good on me, I figured they would look good on my BM.

My BM are wearing the last two dresses in the color above. My MOH is wearing the first dress and my BM are wearing the second dress.
