when are you or did you already going to order your bridesmaid dresses? I dont know if its too early to do it now but if we dont, then nobody is going to do it during the holidays which is understandable which brings up to mid-january and that might be cutting it too close if it takes a few months to come in.

my friend just got married july 08 & we ordered the dresses oct 07. everyone told us it was too early but when the store ordered the wrong ones we were very happy

But it's funny bc I just send my BMs an email with some dresses I was considering. We'll probably narrow it down in october and have them order November/Decemberish.

I haven't really looked in a while b/c my bm's are all busy...
Hopefully by the end of this month or early next month I can start the search again and hopefully order. My problem is, one of my BM's just had a baby in July, another is getting married in 2 weeks, and another is in Fl and pregnant (not due until October).

I think it depends on the designer. I was going to order them in October or November, but I was told Jim Hjelm takes like 3-4 months to get in so I will probably order them in January!

i picked a dress from davids that is fairly new so they shouldn't take more than 12 weeks to come in. so I think around christmas i'm going to get the girls together to go have them try the dress on to make sure they look decent on them. then make sure they order them by febuary just in case something happens.

I;m halfway done ordering them... one more of my BMs has to pay the deposit and then they will all be ordered... buttt who knows how long that will take lol

WOW, i didnt realize we should start ordering so soon! I need to round the girls up and get on this soon! I'll be making a trip up to LI in a few weeks because the MOHs ( I have 3 ) still have not made up their minds! Im going to have to put a move on it!!

a friend of the family owns the bridal shop we're using, and she said january is a good time. apparently that's when all the new styles come out, and it's still enough time for it to come in and be altered.
