it was very nice at the watermill.....steve from patken looked like he was doing a good job(which was cool to see cause I booked patken)... I enjoyed the dj/mc I think they were from 'In the mix'.. durring the reception fiance says ' can we get an MC added to our wedding...

karen was SUCH a pretty bride, and so sweet when she came over to our table, later on she even brough her mother over to meet ' the girls from liweddings'

I definately noticed the little added touches.. the way the placecards were done... The tables named after the places theyve been and theyre were pictures of them at that place... very pretty..
they did the game for the centerpiece-hotpotato with a dollar... Jen.N.Dale won the centerpiece which was awesome cause they were SOOO sweet to tape the wedding for karen!
The music was pretty good... it seemed like jen and dale and corrine and michael were out dancing alot... and i got to meet rachael who was soo nice

I was telling Dale that during the reception. I said, these people are so nice, let's have them at the wedding. He didn't have a problem with it. Seriously, we should have a group about seat fillers. Someone does not show at your wedding last minute, leave your number. Who doesnt love a wedding???

on oprah a girl wrote in sayng she wanted to be a seat filler for the oscars... and oprah granted her wish.. there is a waiting list to do that...

HMMM... proffesional seatfiller sounds better than unemployed

And if you need a bad videographer, you can always count on me. Although I do have a pretty steady hand, people don't respect you with the video camera in your hand. I GIVE ALL VIDEOGRAPHERS MONDO CREDIT. People get in your way constantly. I was trying to get around them but I was like a magnet, they kept getting in my way. But I watched it with my mom and she said it came out nice. She loved Karen's dress. Kevin is one heck of a dancer. Did you see him during Puffy,Mase & Biggie song. That boy can dance!!!!

jen- you did a GREAT JOB of video taping... i was really tempted to cancel my videographer...

Glad you had fun at July's wedding. I did not go - I'm new to the board and felt funny going...but it was really nice of her to offer and if I knew that In the Mix was going to be her DJ I might have changed my mind because they are my dj's too.

Do you remember for sure if it was them? What did you mean by the fiance asked for a MC in the middle of the reception?.

We only booked a DJ but someone I know who has worked with DJ's at weddings said it's better to have both dj and MC but we thought having both was over budget. Was the DJ good? Do you think they should have had an MC too? Did fiance call them during the reception to get an MC and did one show up???? Just wondering since I haven't heard of anyone else using In the Mix.

Oh, and don't worry, it was Invitation to Dance that was her DJ, not in the mix, so you didn't miss it! But it was a great wedding and you would have been well received, new or not

with the DJ, MC -- some DJ's will do some of the MC work, and you can get by without one.. My fiance(who has only a couple of strong opinions for the wedding) REALLY liked the MC... and wants me to hire an MC in addition to the dj we are getting

mike was definately dissapointed that we didnt make it to the cocktail hour.. thats when all the big food is...

Im looking forward to mine, we have already decided only to use the bridal suite while waiting to make an entrance..

jen just reminded me of somthing else..

i was telling my fiance i would love to invite you guys. and he goes ' yeah and they are also good dancers so it'll be nice in the video'

We love to dance. I will be the first to admitt we are not good at it but we have such a good time doing it. We are going to be that old couple that you see at weddings who can't dance well but they are having a good time.

We will keep the date open. We bring gifts.
