I'm getting married June 2010 and was wondering how I should send out save-the-dates. I have about 30 OOT guests and I really wanted to get the info to them especially because i'm getting married on a Sunday. Do you think July is soon enough to send them? TIA!
I am getting married in June and sent ours out in beginning of Sept. I think that is plenty of time. Here's why...I think a lot of people get on a school year type mentality - summer is vacation time and once September comes, everyone's back at work etc. So it's a time of year that people pay attention. I'd wait til then. I think summer is too early. It will get lost in the shuffle. JMO.
I think July would be fine. In my mind, if there's a lot of OOT guests, they should probably be sent 11 or 12 months beforehand.
I sent mines out in Nov of 08. July is okay though too.
