do junior bridemaids wear the same dress design as the bridesmaids? do they wear the same color?
I don't know the rule on this. All my girls chose their own dress as long as it was apple red from the same salon (david's). My Junior followed suit and picked an adult dress (not a flower girl dress) in apple red and had it tailored to fit. She looks adorable (age 12).
There are really no rules anymore. What i have seen a lot of brides do is get a younger styled dress from the same manufacturer in the same color as the rest of the bm.

my 2 jr brides maid are both different. one who is 8 is wearing one like the flower girls but it's longer and has a more adult look to it. my other one who is 11 is wearing one that is the same color as the brides maids but not the same dress!
I'm not having a Jr. Bridesmaid but when I was a jr. bridesmaid in my cousins wedding we all wore the same thing.
