What is the age cutoff for a junior bridesmaid? We are asking FH's cousin to be in the BP and she will be 16 when we get married. FMIL said she is a jr. bridesmaid but she is not always right so I wanted to know if there is a cutoff? Also, if she is a jr. bridesmaid, does she have to wear a different dress or can she wear the same dress as my other bridesmaids? Sorry so long! TIA!!!

Junior bridesmaid is like ages 11-14. At age 16, I would just call her a bridesmaid.

My Junior BM is wearing the same colors as the BM, but a different dress.
she'll be 16 for your wedding? than she's too old to be a jr. bm...its better for her to be a bm...jr. bm's are usually girls who are too old to be flower girls and too young to be a bm...my FH's niece is going to be a jr. bm..she'll be turning 9 when we get married but she's a really tall girl...so to have her be a flowergirl she would look silly..so i made her a jr.bm

My MOH is going to be 16 at my wedding (my sister)! I think 16 is probably a little bit too old for jr. bridesmaid.

First let me say that I am so sorry to be reporting this b/c I LOVE this dress and almost got it for my BM's. I went to a wedding on Saturday and the BM's had this dress and they looked fantastic. HOWEVER, the bunches on the dress (for lack of a better word) were coming apart the whole day and night - they had to use safety pins b/c they were tripping all over themselves. So PLEASE just be sure to bring a entire box of safety pins just in case this happens to your girls!
