junior bridesmaid

Ok question, i know we can do whatever we want but want to see what others are doing...is your JR bridesmaid having the same dress as bm's but the JR bridesmaid version obviously or is slightly different? and what about color, did you get exact same color as the bm's.

I dont see an exact dress like bm's for jr bridesmaid but im guessing she can just get something similar with same colors.

Do any of you have pics or which designer you're using since so many of them only have a few JR. bridesmaid dresses

as i had posted this week, bm's picked out their dresses on wednesday...FH's cousin couldn't make it on weekday nights so i told her to leave it for the weekend, all she needs to do is give me a size but since her daughter is the JR bridesmaid she can try on the dress and we have to go pick a jr. bridesmaid dress too.

FH got mad at first that i said to tell her about this saturday pending on how i feel...i told fh we can drive there and theres a parking lot RIGHT next door so i dont have to walk alot...he called her and told her IF i feel ok we'll go today and im gonna tell fh to call her to go today...i am feeling ok and to go in a car and just walk next door won't be a big deal and inside i can sit down while they try on the dresses, so shouldn't be bad i think well ihope lol i'll take pain killers before i go just in case. BUT as you can see we already are late with doing the BM dresses and i cant order all the dresses until i get everyones sizes and do them all at once, if we dont get it today then i have to wait until next weekend to go and order them and i really dont want to, it'll make me too nervous.

Re: junior bridesmaid

Do you have a pic of the BM dresses?? Depending on the style, can they order the same dress in a small size for your jr. BM but add some straps to it? If not, I would check what the designer has in the same fabric so that even if the style was a little bit different, when you order the dresses all together at least her's would be the same exact color. Lemme see Lemme see!!

Re: junior bridesmaid

the first pic is the bm dresses but with a strap and 2nd pic is moh's dress

bc of the neckline the jr bridesmaid dress will be different bc i dont think they make a neckline like that for young kids and well i would hope they wouldn't lol but yeah i guess maybe same bottom as the bm dresses but just the top different.

but yeah i guess same color would be the way to go...thank you

Denise, sounds like you're feeling a bit better today, but I don't know about going out so soon after surgery, but, you remind me of me, I would probably do the same thing!! Debi got the same dress, same color, for her Jr. BM, and yes, it was even the same price, which we couldn't figure out!The Jr. BM is only 11, for pete's sake!!!!! Pic in my album. It's the purple gown, but it will be in turquoise. Mary MOB

Our junior BM is wearing the same BM dress as everyone else but they will likely add thin spaghetti straps to it since she doesn't have a chest yet. She is 11, so she is developing a lot right now, so we figured if we ordered the smallest size for her, the seamstress could alter it down to fit her without too much of a problem.

For my 2 jr. bridesmaids, I had them wear the same designer and colors but a different dress of their choice. BM dresses were silver (MOH wore black and silver) and the Jr. BM dresses were black with silver trim.
They wore tea length dresses (they are the 2 sitting in the front)

i know fh didnt want to call his cousin at first to tell her...i told him if we were taking the train into the city or even driving into the city and having to look for parking then i wouldn't do it. I wasnt cut open or anything, it was all done by laser so i wont aggrevate anything. We will park next door to the store so ill just have to walk a few feet and then when we get inside i'll sit down while they try on stuff and then walk next door to get the car and come home so i figure it'll be ok. If i would've been cut open or had stitches then yeah i would never do this and i am stubborn hahahah...plus i told fh if i dont feel well i wont go but ive been up for a few hours now and i feel well, no pain or discomfort...after were done with dresses im gonna come back home and stay in bed and relax. but thank you

OMG the same price as bm dresses? that is crazy

i saw one dress that is sort of similar to the bm dresses, i'll have her try that on. But yeah it wont be the same as bm dresses bc i think a top like that on a 12 year old is inappropriate, if we had a different top then id have her get the same dress bc she is tall so im sure it would've been fine. I was also thinking of having her pick something she likes the most but similar of course

see it looks great even if its not the exact same...so i guess i will let her pick something she likes the most, i mean she has to wear it and being 12 years old she is so excited to be in the bp and want her to love her dress ya know.

I think her wearing a different dress is a great idea and will probably make her feel special The only thing i'd be sure to do it get it from the same designer/fabric so you have a match on the color....that's just me tho. Who is the designer & style #?

I thought the same thing about the top for my jr. BM and so did my salesperson at POB actually. It was my cousin and aunt who insisted on wearing the same dress. There was another dress that she could've gotten in the same exact fabric and color but with thick straps and a little bit of a v-neck (nothing plunging). When she saw it, she said it was old ladyish and that she wanted to wear the same thing as the BMs. I also showed her some dresses from the WaWa line from watters and she said they looked babyish. So I figured I want her to be comfortable. But yea, if I had had my choice, I woudl've went the route you're saying and gotten something close but not exactly the same.

MOH is saison blanche but i dont think they make jr bridesmaid dresses, the other is watters and watters, i looked on their site but not same dress...here are some that i guess are close to it but the fabric for bm dresses is dutchess satin and cant seem to find it for a jr bridesmaid, hopefully at the store they'll have something

OH WAIT this is dutchess satin and the body of the dress is same as bm dresses so this is definitely a contender

i wonder if it will look weird if she did something like this

Re: junior bridesmaid

AHHHH the pics didn't come out they were gif files so here they are

first one is nice but very different fabric

the third is exact same fabric as bm's and same bottom so this is a big contender

and last one, i think this is nice for a young girl so would it look bad if it were so different hmmmm

Re: junior bridesmaid

My BM dress designer doesn't have Junior BM dresses either. So I am putting my Junior BM in a flowergirl dress. She is 10 but has the size and shape of an 8 or 9 year old.

Here is my Junior BM dress in the correct color which is a deep rose pink (it's actually a FG dress and the ivory trim matches my dress):

Here is my BM dress (but it will be in the rose color and without the belt so it will be all one color):

Yeah I like the 3rd jr bm it looks the most similar to the bm dress and the same fabric. I think that looks like the smaller version of the bm dress. I think its cute.

I'm glad you're feeling better :)

I like #3 and #4. I think you can't go wrong with either one.

My Jr BM is 14 and as tall as me so she'll wear what the regular bm's wear. She's really skiiny though and will need more alterations than the others.

Re: junior bridesmaid

I like #2 and #3! Beautiful!!

My junior bridesmaids will not be wearing the same dresses as the BMs. I was planning on them wearing a simple black sheath, tea length with a champagne sash. This way their dresses will compliment the BM's gowns which are black strapless with champagne sashes.
