Junior Bridesmaids

What's the typical cut off age where a girl goes from being a junior BM to a BM?

ITA but I would go with anything under 16 being a JB and 16 and over being a regular BM.

This sounds about right.....or 18 could also work. I would NOT go younger than 16 for a bridesmaid.

I think it depends on the girl and the bm dress. DH has a niece who turned 15 right before our wedding. She wasn't in the wedding but if she was she might've been a regular BM. She's like 5'7' and looks older than she is. The JBM dress would've been silly on her. But if the BM dresses were too revealing it wouldn't work either. Needless to say, I had her 9 yr old sis as my JBM instead.

My BM is 15 (turns 15 a week before the wedding). But I also have a Jr. BM who is 11 so I wanted them to be separate. I think it really depends on the kids and who else is in the wedding party. But I think around 15/16 is about the right age to be a BM.

ETA: Good point about the dress. I have a MOH, BM, and JM (just one of each) so I wasn't so worried about the dresses being exactly the same even though the MOH and BM ended up with the same dress. I wouldn't have put the BM in a dress I thought looked too old on her.
