Okay so i'm freaking out! I got a notice in the mail or Jury Duty starting July 11. I have to check every day to see if my number has been called. My number is getting close now and I'm scared I will have to go in for jury selection. I'm getting married July 29th!! Has anyone been in this situation and do you think I can get out of it if I explain the situation? I mean that can't make me miss my wedding right??
i doubt theyd make you miss your wedding! you are allowed to do one postponement. read the paperwork and postpone!

I would tell them it's a financial hardship, that you don't speak English (if you know another language).. or just tell them some bull to get out.
You are allowed to postpone once, have you done that yet? just saw that you had sorry,,, I would just be honest and tell them about the wedding I highly doubt they would pick you then.

One of my co-workers said she went today and saw someone get let off because she said 'I believe in astrology...I make all of my decisions based on the positioning of the stars and planets'. Clearly she was immediately dismissed.
I just went last month, my date was for Monday I had to check every day and my # was called to go in on Friday, I waited all day to get questioned then I told them I had an obligation (I was going away) and they excused me, I'm good for 6 years. I would go and get it over with and tell them you have your wedding like the next week.
Haha I love it!! Definitely going to use that if my number is called for Thursday

I went last week and was out by noon because the case was dismissed.... Go in with your hall contract and explain nicely to the clerk that you are getting married and cannot serve due to dress fittings and etc. Also explain that you do not want to be a bridezilla juror so please let you come back in oct
