I was called on jury duty for the first time! Anyone else called to go in Mineola? It would be great to have a buddy so I'm not sitting all day by myself.

you can delay it for 6 months twice...after that you need to show up. There is new policy now that anyone who got called for jury duty can only wait for 1 day. If your name didn't get called by 5PM, they will dismiss you and you'll never going to get called your jury duty again for the next 6 years.

Me too. I got picked last year, but then the case settled. I have to wait 4 more years!!

I can't delay it anymore because I had to when I was an undergrad in school. I'd rather just get this over with.

I had to serve grand jury the last two weeks in March there was no getting out of it.

so just go and get over it...worst come to worst if you get called you will be a jury for a week...unless they need a grand jury that will take a month.
Oh if you have a family who is a lawyer or police officer...that is the best excuse. When I got called I told them that my FH is a lawyer and they dismiss me right away
