When you got engaged, did you have friends coming out of the woodwork?
A little backstory: I have had a very severe panic disorder since I was 21. I was agoraphobic (completely housebound) for about five years, and am now still very limited, but somewhat better. But for all that time, I almost never saw my friends. They are scattered all over the world, and of course, I wasn't able to travel.
Well, when I got engaged, I thought that was a good excuse to call up friends who I haven't seen in a long time. And you know what? I feel like the most popular gal in town.![]()
I've been seeing friends I haven't seen in years! They're all coming to visit me, even from out of state. I feel so blessed and happy, and not so lonely anymore. :)
I'm still very nervous about how I'll handle the actual wedding (zooted up on medications, no doubt!), but right now, I just feel happier than I have in a very long time, and thought I'd share.![]()
