For those of you who haven't done any dress shopping yet.. call and make an appointment. I didn't, I wasn't really sure what I would be doing today, but would up having time to go, but they wouldn't let me try anything on without an appointment. I was a little suprised, yea I know thats more convient for them, but I could have had my checkbook already to go, and they missed out on a sale. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Re: Just a heads up
i knew that i needed an appt before i went to try on dresses. most salons require an appt for they can provide better customer service to each individual bride. it seems like they would let you try on dresses without an appt., but think how crowded each salon would be.

Re: Just a heads up
I called a bridal salon today to see if they had a dress in stock and to try to make an appointment. The sales lady told me that she had no time to look and was busy with customers and to call on Monday!!! How rude!! I was fuming! FI thinks I should call the manager on Monday and tell her that she just lost a big sale. Needless to say, I am not getting my dress there!

Re: Just a heads up
I walked into Bridal Reflections with an appointment, back when I was dress shopping...and the snooty girl told me, 'If you don't plan on spending at least 1000 dollars...you're in the wrong place.' That was the end of my appointment...

Re: Just a heads up
Now I'm so worried about Bridal Ref. On the bridesmaid side, they have been absolutely wonderful. But now my own appt to try dresses on for the FIRST time ever is there in two weeks, and now I'm considering not going to them for it.

Re: Just a heads up
I think most of the bridal suites you need appointments. But, I just walked in to Paradise in Patchogue, and they helped me. (I was already a few doors down at Bridal Suite) so I wasn't about to make another appt to come back. Luckily they took me and I found my dress.
Centereach bridal suite requires an appt. too.

Re: Just a heads up
I went to Bridal Refl.(Massapequa) And it was a nightmare they were SO nasty that after I was done trying on my dress, I went home got on the computer and found another bridal salon that had it, ordered it from them and I paid $500.00 less.

Re: Just a heads up
The one time I went to try on dresses, I went to Flowerama in Glendale, Queens. I didn't have an appointment and they were so nice to me! They let my best friend take pictures and the sales lady was really nice. I am having so much trouble finding the second dress I want to try on. I have found a bunch of stores that carry the maker, but I cannot fnd the dress. One store told me that they had similar dresses and she could not understand that I wanted to try on the SAME dress!!

Re: Just a heads up
You do need appointments especially on the weekends it gets crazy. And IM sure they just want the time and space. Like dressing rooms to accommodate brides.
