That really sucks..I feel awful for the couple
However I doubt they are going to get anyone to return a 7CT diamond for $10,000

I totally agree. 10k is way too little. The Tiffany setting itself probably costs that much.

WOW da sucks... But reality is especially how situation (financially) are right now, ppl will NOT return a Diamond with those karats for $10,000....
