So, I do love the idea of having more get togethers...like one each month..that way if people can't make one they get to have another one soon!

Here is something we should take into consideration. After chatting privately with a few of the ladies, we mentioned how the last get together was not such a good turn out. Apparently, people put their names ont he list, never shoed up and never tried to get in touch with someone to let them know. This left four or five girls waiting around for a list that had at least 15 on it.

So here is what I propose...when we do finally decide on a day, location and time, if there is even a slight chance that you won't be able to make the gtg, DON'T put your name on the list as going. That way, if you do show up it is a pleasant surprise rather than if you don't come and poor girls who drove an hour to get to the location are waiitng for people who aren't coming. Does that make sense? I know this sounds like common sense, but it really was a problem last time. I felt so bad hearing about how 4 girls sat there (im sure they enjoyed each others company...) waiting.


i agree...and if for god saken something comes up come on the site or call someone text someone on here and tell them your not coming!!!!!

(i speak for myself b/c i was MISERALBY sick and texted mazz and told her iwan'st coming to the last g2g!!!!!)

I agree and I also agree we should switch the locations so every 09 bride has a chance to attend and then we can have like 3 MAJOR gtg a year in a central place like somewhere in Nassau where a ton of us can go - what do u think of that idea?

Also - next year we should totally throw and 09 shower I am willing to do the leg work - although i may need help with finding a place since I'm not from LI but I will plan the whole thing without a problem - I'm a planning addict!

Lauren - I appreciate you bringing this up! I def was a lil annoying waiting around for people to show up... We didnt know whether to wait around or start doing something!!!
Def only say YES and keep you're name on the list if you are 100% sure... You're only forgiven if there is an emergency!!!

I still feel bad about the last g2g. We should make a phone chain list type of thing for people who say yes... that way if they can't come and they can't get one person, they can try to contact another.

thats great but, the problem is which i know for myself is that things do happen that you cant control and we dont have each others phone numbers. i have enough respect for you girls to call and tell you that there is now way i can make it if I had a way to get in contact with anyone there. so if i put my name on a list it's because i plan to be there and if i'm not then there should be a way to communicate that to other people

I think the prob is that just tooooo many gurls did it all at once.... if there is a couple that do it and we still have plenty of peple at the gtg then we dont even notice it

maybe we should make a thread of phone numbers but keep it private... like have someone in charge( ill take the responsibilty if noone esle wants to do it....) and everyone FM's me there phone number and when all numbers are collected i will FM everyone w/ the numbers and u can save it in ur mailbox....

how does that sound????
