just a vent

ughhh ok, sooo..

first of all, my dad p!sses me off. the only thing he has paid for for my wedding is my pictures and that is only because he gave my mom 2500 dollars from the income tax check to go towards the wedding & that is all it covered. well, he constantly b!tches about everything my mom spends money on for the wedding & says we are giong overboard...for example, i want DIY favors, so my mom found these really cute heart jars at Michaels and im going to put fall colored M&M's in them and decorate it with ribbon & stuff...the jars were 95 cents a piece....very cheap i think...my dad thinks its ridiculous & criticizes everything....annoyinggggg


well, i call FMIL to tell her to save any michael's coupons she comes across..she asks why & i tell her they ordered me 250 of these jars... she asks how much they are..i tell her..she says holy sh!t thats a lot of money...its just an added expense thats not necessary....OMG ARE YOU PAYING FOR ANYTHING?!??!?!?!? NO YOUR NOT!!

so sorry you are dealing with this. my parents take turns doing the same thing to me. its all parents.

this is the reason why i told FH that if we have a daughter we will set up a college & wedding fund when she is born. lol.

but seriously we have been around for 20 or some odd years, they didn't think eventually the cost of a wedding would come up??

Sorry you are dealing with this. This is why i saved my own $$$ and FH and I are paying for this wedding ourselves. That's annoying.

Ditto I have been saying this since I was about 12, I don't want anyone else's opinions but ours. Granted our parents are offering to give us something towards it and my answer is that pays for your guests at the reception hall so no opinions on what we're buying thank you lol

when some1 flipps out and says omgg thats a lot of money.. ask them if they have acheaper alternative.. that will quickkllly shut them up.. if it doesnt.. hey, u might actually get good ideas. but i doubt itlol
