i know i dont come on here for diffrent reasons anymore, but i just found out i need to get a kidney transplant, and i wanted to know if anyone here has ever had one or knows somebody who has had one..i could use all the info i can....

Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear this. I just wanted to offer my support, I don't know of anyone who has had one, except KOJO?(s/p) I saw him on Opera. He seems to be doing really well.

I am not 100% sure, but a lot of times the local hospitals have support groups that you can call. I know that is what we did for my mom when she got cancer. Also try to google it....kidney transplant + support + new york.

I'm so sorry to hear about your health situation.

My dad had a kidney transplant almost 8 years ago. His kidneys failed due to his anti-rejection medicine that he is taking for his heart transplant. They have since changed the medicine. He is doing WONDERFUL!!

omg i am so sorry to here this! my thought and prayers will be with you! my girlfriend did go through this. she got one from her mom and is doing very well! you need to get a match is all i really know! i am sorry if there is anything we can do for you please let us know!

My friend's sister had one two years ago and I don't know much about it but I do know she is doing extremely well. She was out and about in no time. I think she only had one episode when they thought she was rejecting it, but she is fine now. Good Luck to you
