Hi ladies, I just got back from an appt. at Terrace on the Park. They just did major renovations in the last year & the hall is fabulous. I have prices & pictures and info.
wow, beautiful! My uncle got married there 10 yrs. ago. It was great then. The CH was phenominal. If you dont mind, would you FM me prices....just curious in comparison. Thanks. so are you thinking this is a possibility? did you get 'THAT' feeling?

For a Friday night in July 2006: $80. for a Sat. night $95. + tax+tip....

I went to a wedding there last May & everyone was raving about it. The food was fantastic, as was the service. The views were awesome (sunset over NYC & the worlds' fair grounds). The ballroom was just renovated and as you can see from the pics, are beautiful and spacious. 4 dinner choices & a wonderful cocktail hour
The negatives (to me) were: no outdoor area (1 ballroom had capability, but you had to have over 200 people); many weddings/parties at once (4 ballrooms), being in Queens--Corona , if you had less than 160 guaranteed, the cocktail hour was in the same room as the reception.
I was also just looking over the paperwork and I see he has 20% service charge + tax + TIPS?! WTH is that?! Aren't the tips in the service charge?!
I think we're leaning more towards our LI choices on the water.

Have you looked at the Swan Club...it over looks Roslyn Harbor and its very reasonable...FM me if you want details Just a suggestion

Wow, it looks like they made some great changes. I personally have heard mixed reviews about the food in the past. But considering the rennovations, I'm sure they improved on that as well. Obviously, do a taste-tasting and decide for yourself. I do love the view of the park though.

Ladies, just posting info for other who may be interested.
The room really is great & that is just half of it, the whole left side is just like the right side.
But most likely FH & I are NOT having our wedding here. Just posting info for y'all.

I went there i wanted to book there soo bad. that is the place where me and my fh had our first kiss. We also got a good price. i was a little turned off by the way the room was set up. the ch and the reception are practically in the same room only separated by a few steps.
but i wouldve booked in a second if the room was not done this way.
