CONGRATS. We just booked ours 2 weeks ago (and our wedding is in 17 days!!!). Our priest could not confirm a date until a month prior to the event (apparantly his social calendar is more active than ours )

Thanks girls!

I called her (the organist is also the rehearsal coordinator--the priest does not attend the rehearsal). I had called her a few months agi but she said it was to early to call her back about 3 mos before the wedding.

Georgia: We're not sure yet. We were thinking maybe Stamatas (sp?). I didn't want to go to Astoria b/c of the lack of parking but Fh's aunt said they have a parking lot now. We haven't booked anything yet though.

I was asking because i was wondering if you came up with another place that I hadnt though of. I'd rather it not be at a greek restuarant - but FH and his family always do their events at Galini's in Astoria. The food there is good - i just want a change... I was thinking of having at an Italian restaurant at Ditmars that i love - look at me going on about the rehearsal dinner - i have SO SO much time - that is a plus and a negative - because i hate waiting!

I dont know about the parking lot - do you mean the Stamatis in Ditmars? Maybe - i'm so clueless about my surroundings sometimes.

Yes I mean Stamatis. Not sure if it's the one of Ditmars though. I think they have two of them.

I totally understand why you wouldn't want a Greek rest. I don't really care since my side is not Greek and they love Greek food and don't go to Greek restaraunts too often. Neither does FH's family come to think of it. FH's parents are throwing it for us and honestly I'm going to let them plan it all. I don't want anymore headaches
