just bought my DOP (day of perfume)

I'm gonna try PRADA...I loved it in the store but we'll see. it's funny that i'd even buy a 'day of perfume' because honestly i'm very no frills...i usually am running out of the house in a rush and don't put perfume on so i'll keep a body spray in my car.

but my post marital resolution is to pay more attention to myself. I've already started buying more matching lingerie from vickies instead of those cheap-o 5 for $20 bits at afaze that you try and match back to your solid bras ...but somehow you can never manage to match them and you wear a black bra and white panties. (or is that just me? ) and i want to get more frequent pedicures and manicures. I never wear nail polish unless its a special occasion. More frequent hair cuts ...the whole works.

LOL I bought a new perfume a few weeks ago, it's very light and i love it...Don't of course ask me the name right now, b/c I have no idea...but I was only thinking this morning that I better save some for the wedding and HM.

Good for you for trying to take better care of yourself. Sometimes I'm good at it, and other times boy I sure s*ck at it.

oooh a new term, DOP! Are you going to try wearing it at all before the day of? such an interesting concept

I hear you about trying to take better care after the wedding, I'm trying...definitely trying to weed out some of that bleh underwear haha but DH needs to do it too! Some of his underwear has some serious holes!!

ETA: My DOP was Clinique Happy, used to be what I wore all the time before I just got too lazy, and DH loves it....but I probably sweat it all off before I saw DH anyway b/c it was so hot!

i have felt the same way about doing more with myself. I normally dont like to wear alot of make up, for a while ive been using this very sheer light foundation that isnt even a foundation its a dermatologist cream that has a tint lol. I stopped using it and use other make up, in the past i hated putting more than one thing on for face make up but i got over it and have been doing it

After the wedding i cut my hair bc i hated having split ends and just fried hair that didnt have much body to it and no style really. And now i like having a haircut with body and looking healthy. I used to never do my eyes except for mascara and i do my eyes a little bit everyday. I also bought that bronzer from bare minerals and let me say its the best thing, gives you such a different look. Before it would take me not even 5 minutes to do my make up and hair took the same amount of time. Even though i have very straight hair i bought a flat iron to make it look smooth, i take my time to actually do my make up. So i understand that whole feeling. I used to take time sometimes when we went out but not always.

yeah, I'm going to try it a few times just to make sure I can stand the scent over a long period of time. some perfumes are just too overwhelming for me. but I don't want to wear it too often before. this way it'll still be 'Special'. LOL

I am splurging for Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolff for my DOP. I can't wait to get it- but I am holding myself back until at least Sept or else I will use it all and it is expensive- at least to me it is! Way too expensive for everyday use IMO

try buying it on ebay! I bought mine on ebay...it was a gift set worth $128 or $148 and it was brand new for $30

Melody, I was just thinking this morning that I want to go to sephora and try a bunch of things and see what I like! I have a scent I love from banana, but FH hates it. Not sure what he WOULD like, he thinks they all stink.

I was looking around last night while I was out running errands.

I will probably go with Angel -- it is my staple scent.

I have been searching for a new perfume too. My FH fav is ralph lauren blue, but I can't find it. I might have to try perfumania or something.

I tried marc jacobs daisy, but it's cologne and wore off too quickly so I returned it. I like Gold the new Mariah Carey perfume........smells like exotic poison
