FOR MY INVITATIONS! they were exactly 1 oz. so of course, since i'm so anal, i got the 61 cent stamps 'just in case'.....it's alot less hassle to get more postage, then to redo invitations if they come back......
but i have a question....did anyone else get the nervous shakes when buying their postage???!!!! or am i the only loser who gets uncontrollable emotions?? LMAO....i'm such a loser. what the heck kind of state am i going to be on the wedding day! ugh

lol...you are not the only one! I brought a completely stuffed invitation to the post office to have it weighed and they told me that it would be the standard .44 cents. So I bought all of the stamps and went home and stuffed my envelopes. When I returned to the post office to have them hand cancelled the woman told me that the postage was incorrect! I needed to add .17 cents. I was soo annoyed because I told her that I had brought once to have it weighed so this wouldn't happen. She totally understood and was soo nice...she weighed my invitation on 3 scales and they all said the same thing and she has no idea how the guy told me it would be .44 cents. So I know how you feel about being nervous when buying postage but I think you covered your tracks!

I was like ugh...you want me to leave and not watch...
he rolled his eyes...and walked away..

I mailed mine this morning !!!! It was the best feeling in the world. The lady looked at me like I was crazy when I told her 'be gentle, these are my wedding invitations'.
Lol, she stared at me and just said 'NEXT!'. Gotta love the city.

i bought the stamps over in whitestone, by my office....but i'm totally taking them to be hand cancelled by my house in glen oaks....it's 'nicer' there.....plus, the people by my house aren't behind the plexi glass security walls....that has something to do with it i think! lmao
