when I registered I thought I would be able to scope out some very needed vendors - video, DJ - but this turned out to be one big sample and brochure / lottery registery extravaganza. so unhelpful... I actually became even more confused from the amount of various vendors. now I really have no idea who, what, where and how to get.... oh well at least I got some awesome bridal magazines and a bunch of creams, lotions, and whatnots

Re: just came back from the Bridal Expo
i went right when it started and it wasnt too crowded yet.... but yeah every vendor was just way in your face but i did kinda get pointed in the right direction with somethings... and it was a big help in terms of honeymoon i think

Omg all I remember was the line for the cake, was CRAZY!! Never ever Again, the best one so far I been to is Bloomies, they give you an amazing gift bags.
I went in Jan and I cant believe that they want people to pay for that Expo or any Expo bc all it is vendor shoving info at you. Iam so bad I throw up the majority of the stuff at the Hotel.
Dont sign up at JcPenny they take your info and make a registry for you without you realizing it.
Another hint at these expo, bring address labels with your name on it that way it is much faster

Re: just came back from the Bridal Expo
take my advice.... the expo's are usually a waste... you will find more helpful info for vendors on this site than anywhere else... just search on here

It definitely was a zoo!! But the honeymoon booths were a great help. We're going to Fiji and have NO IDEA where to stay.
Did anyone see the artichoke flower boquet? The flowers were so different looking but I think having the actual artichoke involved was a little odd...
My only real complaint about this whole thing was the David's Bridal 'fashion show.' The BM dresses they showed were horrible and those were really the nicest 5 gowns they had to show? I know for a fact they have some MUCH nicer Oleg Cassini's and Galina's than the ones they had there... The whole thing also just looked really sloppy... I didn't stick around to see if anyone else had a showing...

Re: just came back from the Bridal Expo
It was super packed when I got there (around 7), but I plowed through pretty quickly. I stopped to look at photo albums from The Pros, Patken and Duet...also another one whose claim to fame is that they did Bam Margera's wedding and Heather Locklear's/Richie Sambora's? I only stopped there because I noticed pics of Iggy Pop in an album and was like 'ohhhhhh sh!t, what's this?!'
I was very impressed with Patken and will be scheduling an appointment to see them. I really liked their work. Same with Duet.
The honeymoon tables were helpful, as well.
I flipped on a David's Bridal lady. She was too pushy and I got wicked with her. Oh well!
Oh, and SCORE with the magazines and Nivea giveouts. Woohoo for free lip balm and cellulite cream, LOL!
Yeah, the cake line was enormous. My friend and I were like, eff that, there's a Junior's across the street and a Magnolia a few blocks away.
It was an experience, that's for sure. Best thing IMO was being able to page through a bunch of albums from the different photog places and get an idea of their styles. Since I don't have a car, it definitely helped not having to have FH shuttle both of us to the various studios.

I went to one with my cousin before she got married WHAT A ZOO IS RIGHT!!! I'll never go to another one. Some of the vendors are like vultures. And another thing......DON'T DO ADDRESS LABLES WITH YOUR REAL INFO. YOU WILL BE HOUNDED WITH CALLS & E-MAILS FOREVER! Even after my cousin got married she was getting calls from vendors.....what a nightmare!
