Just Curious

We all chat on here all day and very few of us know much about each other. I am curious what everyone does for work? Some people have such exciting jobs. I will start:

I am a Weather Forecaster for the Marine Corps. (For Now!)

Wow.. that sounds a heckuva lot more exciting than what I DO!

I'm a legal assistant at a lawfirm in midtown..

I don't have the most exciting job, but I'll share...

I'm a Legal Secretary for a Law Firm in Manhattan

I agree, that sounds very cool.

I work as an Implementation Specialist for a payroll company on Long Island.

Those jobs seem so cool. I have been considering taking some paralegal classes.
And my job is not exciting, it is very boring

Very cool ..

I have a desk job. Im a client representative for an Insurance brokerage. I handle International Liability for US based Clients that have overseas exposures.

Basically I help them buy the correct insurance and in the right amounts with the right insurance companies for their needs.

Involves a lot of international correspondence with our offices overseas and TONS of paperwork!! haha

I have three professional designations (AIC - Associates in Claims, CISR - Certified Insurance Service Representative, CPIW - Certified Professional Insurance Woman) and I am invovled with the NAIW (National Association of Insurance Women).

Thank god I have a hubby who understands! He's works for a financial advisor (which I know nothing about) and he is so understanding with my hours and commitments.

My Goal: To go to college. Sounds simple, right?

That sounds pretty cool that you get to talk to people all over the world. But it sounds like a lot of work

...wwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww

Scott: Analyst for a Marketing research firm.

I also own my own car detailing business which is open from April to November.

Danielle: 5th grade special ed teacher in Queens.

I'm a Business Analyst for a media company. Basically, I look at what we billed versus what we forecasted, how we are pacing for the week, quarter, year. I look at the industry and where our company fits in, etc, etc ...

I also work with contracts for our clients. Any ownership changes or new clients, I negotiate and produce agreements.

And I work on a program for all of our assistants and support staff - mentoring, training, and basically helping them stay motivated and happy in their jobs.

My job is kind of a jack-of-all trades I guess because I work in three very different areas within the company yet it all seems to work for me. I get to speak to assistants to presidents, lawyers to the CEO's of major media companies, account executives to Vice Presicents - I deal with everyone all day long on every level.

Wow - your jobs all sound so exciting!
I am a senior clerk in the SCPD.
