Have you discussed who will do what after the wedding, such as bills, cooking, cleaning, etc., and if so....who's doing what??

we lived together beforehand so we already had it figured out. I do most of the bills (we just combined our checking accts so now they're all in one place - they're all on autopay but I keep an eye on the cash flowing in and out), we share the cooking and cleaning. We didn't talk much about it -but it was understood that we'd share those responsibilities.
edited to say: lately I tend to cook a lot more often than him since I'm home and he's working, so I've been trying to take on more of the household responsibilities until I'm working again. But generally if I cook, he cleans the kitchen and washes the dishes.

We also live together now. Same, only I will do all the bills instead of us doing our own.

We live together now and he does all of the bills (my whole check is savings and my own spending money). I do all the cooking...he does make good reservations though and we share the cleaning and laundry duties.

I do all the bills. After 2 years of living together and him never paying bills on time, we agreed that I would be in charge of the money - hahaha! I have succeeded in my master plan! I definitely do more of the cleaning, he does a bit more of the cooking and pays a little more of the month to month expenses.

LisaT, I'm pretty much in the same boat. We live together, and I don't work right now, so I do all of the bills, and most of the cooking and cleaning. I also have a 5 year old son, so that's a job in itself!

We've been living together for over 3 years now. We basically split up everything. We're both very good at being organized in the bill paying dept. luckily so I'm not worried who does it. The only issue I can see us having is that I balance my checkbook, He does not! Drives me nutty sometimes!
I don't cook, he does. But I make up for it by doing alot of the cleaning!!

We've only been living together for a short time now, but we pretty much split everything up. The only thing FH will not do is dust, otherwise we take turns cleaning and cooking- depends on who's home. But we haven't discussed the plan after we're married yet.

We both cook and share the clean up after cooking. The bills we share also...I take care of the rent and he does the rest. His bills are sent electronically so thats easy.
As far as cleaning...I clean everything but the tub/shower. That is his only real weekly job. However, when I am busy he will help clean the stove and anything else I ask him.
He just needs to be told what to do....he never notices that something is dirty and he should clean it. When I think the place is a disaster he thinks its fine.
We need a cleaning lady!!!

luckily, we know each other's idiosyncracies to the point that these things are not an issue. i have to have a clean house - so i will end up doing most of the cleaning. FH, however, is a much better cook and keeps track of his finances to the penny (whereas i haven't balanced a checkbook in years!)

Haven't officially spoke about it. It will be a major adjustment for both of us.
While I'm still working (hopefully I won't after a few years.. heehee) we will share the household duties. As for taking care of bills, I think he wants to take care of that.

My husband & I take turns cooking...(he is a much better cook than me.)
I do most of the cleaning & food shopping, etc. He does the landscaping & the bills

we've lived together for the past three years and it will probably stay this way...I do the bills, he cooks & does laundry and whatever else I can get him to do. I do whatever is left!
