Just curious

If you were going out with your friend and they were doing the driving, would you offer them money for tolls, gas or parking?

I absolutely would, but none of my friends would ever take it. I usually would treat for lunch or something like that.

Yes, I always do, and we usually get into a fight when they don't take it.

I know when I drive I never take the money, but always appreciated the gesture.

If it's local running around with say my sister or firend, I don't usually. Sometimes I drive, sometime someone else drives. It works out.

If it's someone I don't drive with too frequently, I will always offer. Conversely, I would never take them up on their offer.

I would pay the tolls and offer them money towards gas (if its a long drive), or buy their dinner on the road - that type of thing.

I guess any time I'm in a car and there are tolls or parking, I offer money. Doesn't mean the driver always accepts it though.

Only time I wouldn't is if we do this all the time and just take turns with driving and the costs.
