Champagne colored dress for MOG? Yay or nay?

no. i vetoed my stepmom on that one... my dress is off white so champgne is too close! if it's a darker champagne almost like a light brown goldish color then maybe

I think it's ok as long as it's a dark 'champagne', not a light one that could almost pass for a dark ivory. My grandma is wearing a dress that's technically a MOB dress and the color is 'champagne' but it doesn't look close to a bridal color. Unless there's some unspoken rule that I'm not aware of, I think it's ok.

edit: The dress my grandma got is almost a light brown shade, nothing close to what a bride would wear.

ok good. For some reason my co worker is trying to tell me it will look white, but I googled it, and it looks goldish/beige...I really don't care, I was just curious....

Champagne wouldn't bother me. Silver would though, because my gown has LOTS of silver detailing.

Nay, my fmil wanted to get a beige color and I told her that she should not be getting anything in the white family. I am not picky about a lot of things, but that's a no no for me.

My mom saw it, i let her try it on to get it out of her system, and told her that I think there are better colors for her ( a gentle let down). Same thing with the shape of my gown with her too. I basically just said not for wedding please. But I told her she still looked good,,,,
