Just emailed this to my Bridesmaids - Wish me luck the dates work!
I don't sound too bossy, do I? Haha - oh well, already emailed them. But I hope they can all do 1 day and we can measure ourselves and be done with the ordering process!!
Hi Girls - Happy Snowy Tuesday!
I wanted to maybe schedule a Saturday afternoon before everyone's schedules get booked up sometime in March or April to meet at RK Bridal (Right by Penn Station) and try on the Bridesmaids dress and make sure we all like it, and if we do, place the order. Sometimes these dresses can take such a long time to come in and I want to guarantee everyone has enough time to get the alterations done. Also, if 1/2 can do one day, and 1/2 can do another Saturday, totally fine.
Here are some Saturdays I'm available - (The earlier the better in case we suddenly have to change the date)
Saturday March 14
Saturday March 21
Saturday April 11
Saturday April 25
RK Bridal has 2 different purchasing options - I think we can totally do the No-Frills program and save some dough! :)
In-Store Purchase Program - They help you size it and when the dress comes in, you can try it on there, if you wanted, and you may use their in-house tailoring (they said it's no more than $65.) If we do it this way, the dress is $180, plus alterations.
No-Frills Purchase Program. If we do this, the dress is only $135, plus alterations, and I think this is how I'd recommend we do it. The catch here is that we can't try the dress on in the store when it comes in, we have to either pick them up or have them shipped to someone's house ($8/dress) and we have to be very careful ordering our size, because we're responsible if the size is wrong, etc. And we'd need to bring our alterations somewhere else. Maybe the day we meet to try on the dress, we can go back to my apt and have a measuring party? :) OOh! And then I can show you guys my shoes and earrings for the day-of!!
What do you guys think? I think it's worth it to save the $45 and do it all ourselves and stuff, right?
Jenna/Lisa - Since you're out of town, you can just send me your measurements and I'll add your dresses to the order.
Oh - and when we get the dresses altered, we have to remember to tell them we need all the extra material because we're going to wrap your bouquets in it so it matches your dresses perfectly! :) I just want everyone to know so you can help me remember to tell them.
Love yas!
