Just engaged.. looking for wedding venues!

I just got engaged on Christmas and I am starting to look online for wedding venues. My FH is not a big fan of the typical catering hall style wedding so I am looking for something less traditional. So far the Old Field Club and the Three Village Inn have caught my eye. We looking to get married April or May 2012 in Suffolk County. I think we will have btwn 150-180 guests and we will be paying for the weeding ourselves so would like to keep the price below $100 a head if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My head is spinning and I feel like I don't know where to start!

Congratulations! Love the Old Field Club, so beautiful. I'm getting married at the Riviera and it's beautiful, the main ballroom has a rustic feel and the outdoor CH is beautiful. Feel free to FM me about the Riviera.

Congratulations! Your ring is so pretty <3
My FH and I felt the same way - we're having ours at the Milleridge Cottage. It's really cozy and pretty, and there's only 1 wedding at a time so you get the whole place =)
Ours is a Friday so we only have to guarantee 150 (Sat is 175), and we haven't chosen our menu so not sure exactly how much it will be pp but I know it's right around there, but their pricing isn't seasonal so you won't pay any more for getting married in April or May.

Good luck!!

Congrats and best of luck. I love the old field club..I am not familiar with many venues in suffolk. I know people als love lands end, but i don't think it is under 100 per head

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I loved the old field club as well, but it was a little far for our guests. For 2011 it was $130 pp for Sat or $110 pp Fri or Sun, before tax and tip.

If you are willing to travel to nassau, I am also getting married at the Riviera in Massapequa, that has that similar rustic feel. The prices for a Saturday in the summer are around what you are looking for! HTH

Congratulations! What a beautiful ring

If you want Suffolk, you can do Chateau La Mer on a Sunday night or during the day on Saturday for under $100.

Congratulations!! We're getting married at Old Field Club, a secret about them is that if you get married on a Sunday of a holiday weekend it's not a Saturday price. We're getting married the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and we're paying the $110 Sunday price.

We love it there and everyone has been great so far!!!!!

Congratulations!!! GORGEOUS ring!!!

I know you said you want something that is NOT a catering hall.....hmmm........do you know what month you want to get married in? and if you guys are looking for a budget friendly wedding some places offer all inclusive packages where you pay one price for pretty much everything!

the only thing i can think of that is not a catering hall is the vanderbuilt museum but you need to order/cater your own food etc....it most likely is more than $100 phead...

congrats!! I checked out three village inn, and it seemed wayyyy too small for that amount of people. They said they could do it, but myself, and everyone with me thought they were crazy. What about a vineyard or out east somewhere... Thats what i would have done if i had a spring summer wedding

Congratulations!!

The Old Field Club looks so pretty! I've also heard nice things about Land's End in Sayville.

Good luck!
