I have stalked these boards for awhile - but as I just got engaged a few weeks ago and am now posting! :) Looking at venues for a late summer 2013 wedding. FI is British - so having a small wedding (100 or so people) in the city would be ideal (easy for out of towners who can't drive in the States!). Wondering if you guys have any ideas on where else I should look!?
So far I have checked out: Downtown Association Liberty House - in Jersey City 3 West Club - (my front runner so far!) and then have appts at Union Square ballroom next week and Fox HOllow (because i've always loved it!) on the 24th. For an averagish budget for NYC - ($200-$240 pp) anywhere else I should look? I WOULD LOVE some outdoor space (even just for cocktail hour) which is why I really liked 3 West Club.! And I loved the location - super easy for all our OOT guests.
Any help or ideas i WOULD LOVE! Or any reviews on 3 West Club because I am really liking it so far!

if you are considering the Liberty house try the Chart House in Weehawken. I went to an event there and it is soo pretty and has an awesome view of NYC.

Thanks!!! I am trying to stay in the city if possible because it's easier to get guests around - but I will def check it out. The views from the Jersey side are def worth it sometimes! :)

If you have that kind of budget and want something out-doorsy, I would look at these kinds of places:
or you should look at a rooftop bar. A lot of them have gardens and beautiful views of the Manhattan skyline. http://nymag.com/nightlife/articles/04/rooftops/
There are so many amazing spaces that can still be intimate and have lush, gorgeous greenery. FH and I really wanted to get married in the same kind of place you're looking for but I just couldn't swing the price tag. Good luck!

Any of Abigail Kirsch's event sites are beautiful. Tribeca 360, Tribeca rooftop, Angela Orensanz's space is GORGEOUS (http://www.orensanz.org), Bryant Park grill is gorgeous but smaller. And Hyatt Regency in Jersey City is pretty affordable, service is top-knotch, and the food is fantastic and the view from their lounge of the manhattan skyline is phenomenal. Its also pretty accesible by train since its right outisde the NJ PATH train stop at Exchange Place (1 stop from Wallstreet) I can send you quotes from there as well as quotes from NHP as well if you want and Fox Hollow.

Oops forgot to mention. If you want Bryant park grill quotes, I have those as well.
Also good to note, if you have a wedding at the Hyatt, they include complementary 1 or 2 night stay at any of their hyatt hotels for your honeymoon and you also attain Hyatt membership points towards free nights as well.
FH and I have racked up quite a bit and will be utilizing them for our honeymoon nights in the Maldives. DEFINITELY check out the Hyatt Maldives! Its on its own island!
