Just feel the need to share...

Just feel the need to share...

That I just had a massive case of dress buyer's remorse, complete with the hot neck and stomach turning. But then, I looked through some old posts on here about second guessing your dress choice and it totally calmed me down. Apparently this is a common feeling. I love this site...anyone else you would tell these kinds of things to would think you are insane lol.

I didn't want to ever feel that way, so right after I bought my dress I stopped looking at magazines and the dress sections on the knot and weddingchannel! I still think I made a great choice though, and even my mom said when I tried it on for her that it was very 'me' type of dress.

everyone told me to do the same: NOT look at magazines or go to stores with wedding dresses. i absolutely LOVE my dress but sometimes i start to panic thinking about how much it costs. i just keep staring at the pics of it to remind myself just how amazing it is.

I fell in love with the Victoriana by Maggie Sottero. I then fell in love with the capri Royale. I bought the capri royale, but everytime I see the Victoriana, i think maybe i should've gotten that one. I know how you feel.

You are so right - I agree with you I second guess EVERYTHING! and thank goodness for this site b/c there really is no-one else that you can tell that would understand how we are feeling!

I ordered my dress in January. I since then have not had one ounce of buyer's remorse. I even looked at magazines and stuff and I am still in love with my dress.

i totally understand..I love my gown...and im so glad i got it, but i look at pictures of mermaid gowns and i wish i could have gotten one...i mean, i know i wouldnt feel comfy or look right in it but I do wish i could have tried...

I think ultimately its important to find a dress to suit YOU...you obviously loved the gown you bought..don't second guess yourself!

I love my gown but I have gotten nervous that I would find something I loved even more. That hasn't happened yet and I don't think it will, but I think that buying the dress sooo early can put doubts in your head. I got mine only a month after I got engaged.

Re: Just feel the need to share...

This is one of the reasons why I've been putting off even looking at dresses. I know as soon as I find one no one will be able to stop me from buying it but then I know I'll drive myself crazy doubting my decision for the next year and four months. I'm big into shopping and returning because I alwaysss change my mind. That doesn't work for wedding dress shopping though. I'm sure the dress you bought is perfect though because I keep hearing that you just know it's the right dress when you put it on. Just keep reminding yourself how excited and happy you felt when you bought it!
