Just Finished my Favors!!

Here is my favor. We did a butterfly theme. We hand painted the butterfly and we got the glasses and the candles from Michaels craft store. We got the ribbon and tulle from A&S Novelty in Farmindale. We finished them today. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

very very nice! It's weird to see October 12, 2002 without our names next to it!! Same day!! I did magnets for my favors, posted them a while ago, haven't wrapped them yet!

They're really beautiful and it makes it even more special because you made them yourself. Did you find that they were more reasonable to make yourself or could you have had them made for the same price, I feel like all the favors I'm looking at are pretty pricey.

Re: Just Finished my Favors!!

I made the favors for my e party, and shower.
I am in the process of making the favors for the wedding...

As far as price, there is no way I could justify paying some of those prices...so I decided to make all my own stuff.

The supplies are cheaper, but once you factor in your time is it really? Prob. not, but as long as you like that type of thing I think it makes it Ok. I have always been crafty, so for me it really was never a question...

(just my 2 cents)

Re: Just Finished my Favors!!

Thank you everyone for your good comments. The favors were a lot cheaper then having them done already.

$0.49 - votive holders on sale at Michales
$1.99 - pack of 7 of candles
$18.50 - two 25 yard 15' rolls of tulle
$2.00 - 90 plastic bells
$35 - ribbon with name on it
$0.99 - roll of wire to tie the ribbon
$2.50 - butterfly stencil
$8.00 - paint and paint brush

So the cost per favor came out to be $1.50.
