Just for a giggle folks (but it's actually true) I really like God.. he's awesome...

God is our Mail guy here in my office.

I called my dad last night cause I thought it was so funny. I told my Dad 'You know what, I really like God. He's a good guy. Very timely and polite' Being that Im Agnostic and my father's a former Catholic this was a bit shocking. I filled him he and he's been calling with jokes ever since.

This guy's name is truly, honestly and legally GOD. So my father (coming up for the wedding) wants to come to my office to meet God and talk to him (poor guy). I spoke to God this afternoon and told him about this. He's so cool, he laughed and said sure.

So now I think I may invite God to my wedding!!! HOW IRONIC!!!???

He and I were talking about how hard it is to grow up different (me my eyes, him his name) and how odd it is that as adults what was odd as a child is now 'cool'.

Still, he has a GREAT sense of humor about it!!! Which is AWESOME

Oh.. and God is Black by the way.. I have proof!

God works at my office!!! His voice mail..'Hi you've read God XXXXXXX I'm unavalible at this time, please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can'

And it's really strange asking God a question. 'Hey God, gotta question for you' or 'God can you do me a favor?' I mean it's rude to say 'hey you' so I have to use his name.

Just had to share cause it is really funny, but true.

(By the way, is naming your child 'God' considered taking his name in vain?)

OH and yes he told me that twins run in his family and if he has twins (boy and girl) he wants to name them Adam & Eve!! He's such a REALLY great guy!

That's pretty funny and kind of weird....I mean I've heard people named Jesus, But God, that is a little strange. But if he's a nice guy then who cares what his name is, right?

He's a sweetheart!
He's been on our floor for a few weeks.. people are just getting use to hearing 'God' being toss around the office.

And honestly he's a LOT better than our old mail guy. Much more personable. Im really happy and that was BEFORE i knew his name. That's how I found out his name. Sorta thinking - he's really sharp, I should say thank You.. 'excuse, Im sorry, I didnt catch your name?' .. he never SAYS his own name he usually just shows you his badge.

See that's the whole thing.. some folks are a little 'too' shocked and say right out loud 'what were your parents, thinking?' or 'How could they be so rude?' This is a very diverse floor. Some things are never spoken out loud. Religion and politics are deadly. Too much international representation.

He takes it all in stride.. (heard it all before).

I'm sure if he's been around for a while, he's heard it all and stop trying to explian to people a long time ago. At least he's got a good attitude about it, after all what's in a name???

Was he named God by his parents?

Or did he change it to that?

I am surprised that they let him change it to God.

But hey if ya can, why not?!?

I think he should change his voicemail to be 'Hi, you've reached GOD'. No last name.
People would be thinking 'who did I just dial?!?'
