Knives are not bad luck as long as you tape a penny to the bottom of the box. Don't know why but I have been informed of that at the last 3 showers I have been at.

I already got my kitchen aid mixer so I would have to say the wine fridge...

Although there is a ton more stuff I NEED on there more than a wine fridge I still really WANT it.

Really?! I never heard of this before. And I'm like the queen of superstitions, what with being Irish and working in theatres.

The jewish tradition is you have to 'buy' your knives. One of my bridesmaids brought me pennies to give to those people that bought me them. It was really cute giving them the pennies.
