Just for fun..what songs...

ok i'm really bored soo...
Does anyone know what they are using for ceremony music yet?? Anyone doing contemporary instead of traditional??

For me i'd like

prelude - Edelweiss (from sound of music)
Bridal party process. - All i ask of you - phantom of the opera
Me - FH wants me to do the traditional here comes the bride although i was thinking i wanted something different.. we'll have to see

unity candle - If i should fall behind - bruce springsteen or
All about loving you - bon jovi (if church approves..only asked about the other songs so far)
recess - traditional wedding march..but if the church will allow it.. i'd love to use 'leap of faith' by bruce springsteen..

Our prelude is going to be a Liturgical Dance to a gospel song
The first part of the processional will be the Trumpet Voluntary
The bridal party processional is Canon In D
I will be walking with my parents to an instrumental version of Everytime You Go Away by Brian Mcknight that FH made for me
Unity Candle Ceremony his sister will singing Makes Me Whole by Amel Larrieux

thats all we have so far.

don't panic!! Your organist or whoever is doing your ceremony music will help you with all this. I already knew i wanted to use certain songs which is why i'm ahead of the game there!! It'll work out fine.. :)

We are getting married at the RH and our DJ is doing our ceremony so the sky is the limit. (I just gotta see if the offiants care what we use)

Maybe, Beatles- In my life

the beginning of 'you raise me up' for unity candle ceremony

im not really sure what i want to walk down to yet and we are not sure of our recessional song

wow those are great songs..
thats the only problem with a church wedding.. they do restrict a lot.. but the msgr. Seemed pretty cool with the stuff i was mentioning.. as long as the organist can do it.. he said it was up to him... but those songs sound beautiful!!!

My girls are walking into an instrumental version of Something by The Beatles. I'm walking into a classical version of If I Had the World to Give by The Grateful Dead.

We met with the church music director and they played a ton of music for us and then we just picked after we listened to how it sounded in the sancuary. It was actually a lot of fun.

We chose all classical music for the ceremony.
