Just Found Out...

That my mom booked the Holbrook Country Club for my bridal shower... but now with them out of business, she has to look around for someplace else!! She put a $250 deposit down that they called on Wednesday about and told her they were mailing back (they better!!). I just feel bad for her b/c she was all set with her plans and now she has to try and find some other place to have it. At least we still have some time.

Any info on places in Suffolk County that I can tell her to check out would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

...wow! What timing I have! My mom just got the mail and her $250 deposit check that she had given to the Holbrook Country Club was returned! I feel better now that she got her money back!

Im sure she will find someplace else, especially now that she got her money back.

FSIL recently had a baby shower at southshore on 112 and it was wonderful

I dont know of too many other places .. sorry

we had my sister's shower at blackwell's country club in wading river. it was elegeant and classy and wonderful!

Hi! My best friend is the one who has been on the news and in newsday about the Holbrook Country Club (The blonde who was on a buisness trip and didn't know any of this was going on). SO, I spent the last week planning and calling people all throughout Suffolk County along with her mother and Fiancee. FYI-There are approximately 60 people who have come foward because their event was cancelled due to this horrible thing. There will be a class action lawsuit against the catering company as a result. Contact the Town of Islip for more info.

On a happier note, I threw this best friend her shower at the Brickhouse Brewery in Patchogue. They have 2 really nice rooms upstairs above the restaurant. They are really reasonably priced with great service and good. We had a great time. I hope this helped! Good luck with the Holbrook Country Club.

Papa Joe's on Commack Road is beautiful, too! Im hosting my best friend's shower there...the name doesn't sound so nice but you wouldn't BELEIVE the interior OR the price!!
