I just found out last night...shes about 2 1/2 months along...I'm thrilled for her and her DH....but sad at the same time.... i dunno whats wrong me ...fh feels the same way...but his reasoning is couldnt they wait a while more so our kids could all be close in age? thats not what bugs me at all... (when fh and I get married they would've just hit they're 2 yr. anniversery) anyhow... i just feel sad not bc she'll be 6 months at the time of our wedding....her having a belly doesnt bug me...its just i feel like she wont be able to participate in the festivities like she would've...like the bachelorette party...crap like that...i know i'm being selfish... i mean really i'm thrilled for them... but sad ... i need a slap on the head... i must be pmsing.

Hi, I know how you feel - all of my friends are in baby mode now. My MOH just had a baby, one of bm is pregnant but due four months before my wedding & I have two other friends that I just know are trying to get pregnant and probably will be by my wedding time. I just tell myself that we have to be happy for where we are in life right now - even though it would be fun to have them out drinking w/ us for our bachelorette party. We're at a time in our life where some are getting married, some are getting pregnant. I don't think you're being selfish, just disappointed. I totally hear ya.

Your human, we have alot of emotions.. things won't always go our way, sadly!!!
As long as you, ur fam & friends are healthy and alive and u have a beautiful wedding and a happy future, that is the most important thing..

I am 34 years old and for the past 10-12 years I have spent time watching special events such as marriages and births of children happen for everyone else except myself. Not ONCE during that time did I feel bad that these things weren't happening for me. I knew my time would come and it did. To this day I am asked to share in the joy of people's happiness and I do so graciously at every wedding, bris, christening, shower, etc... This is what being a good friend is all about. All of my married friends (with and without children) couldn't be happier for me as I start a new life with my FH. Just remember what true friendship is. Though I have to say PMS can give you a run for your money. Go have a nice massage and a manicure!

I know how you feel One if my BM went through a time when she though she might be prego (exactly 9 months before the wedding) it is sad and happy at the same time. Just remeber prgo or not she will betheir for your speical day and be so happy for you!
BTW - Hehe - now i tease her and her DH no $ex till after our wedding.

I hear what you're saying. My MOH got pregnant and was due 2 weeks before my wedding. I was fine with getting her a maternity dress and all that other stuff, but I was a little disappointed that she wouldn't be able to do all the things I would have liked to do with the girls. There was a chance she might not have been able to even make it to the wedding. You're not alone!

Well if it makes you feel any better I just found out that one of my BM's is prego (unplanned) and is due the week after my wedding. She will not be able to attend because she is from out of town. I am so sad that she is going to miss my special day when I was there beside her to share in hers. Not sure what I am going to do yet with the dress it was already ordered.

I know it is disappointing.. but at the same time I am sure that you can both share in each other's happiness!!! Try not to let the sad part get to you! I am sure she can spend time with you, even if she can't participate in ALL the festivities.. as long as she can be there for you and FH.... SMILE and I agree a manicure sounds nice (especiall during PMS time)

Bebalina--I can tell that your heart is in the right place. As soon as the news sinks in a little but, you will be more happy about all of it. When you look back, her being pregnant at your wedding just might be a fond memory, and you can tell her kid all about it also!!!!
One of my BMs had a baby this week. It was a rough pregnancy at times. I know that she will not be ready for dress shopping for a while but I'm sure it will work out. At her baby shower she told EVERYONE that she is going to be my bridesmaid so I know that she is thinking of me even though she has so much of her own happening.

i don't have much to add, i think these ladies have said it all. but i do understand why you'd be upset about her celebrating with you and not 'enjoying' it as much, but i'm sure because she is your friend, she will have a wonderful time
