My mother called my moh about to talk about my shower and she ( MOH) did not think I wanted one because I have been living with my FH for 4 years and we have a baby soooo that is why she thinks we dont want or need ( I guess) one.
but I really do- we do need things we just bought a new house and there are things we just dont have. I was a little hurt, this is my first real wedding- and I want all the little things that go with having a formal wedding .
dont you???
Now how do I handle this when I speak to her this weekend????

Tell her the truth you want one!!! She / they or YOU have plenty of time to plan one. Your wedding is late in the year

Many people thought it was odd for fh and i had a shower snce we just got an apartment together a month before. We needed new stuff but people though since we don't have a house why have all this stuff. BECAUSE I PLAN TO HAVE A HOUSE with new things. SO some stuff I have in storage until next year when we hopefilly get a house.

I would just let her know how you are feeling! Tell her that your relationship with her son is very important and that you want to pull out all the stops for it! Talk to your mom too....She'll throw you one!

My FH has been a homeowner for 3 years and we have been living together for 1 of those 3 years....I am still having one!
