There was a lot of discussing this weekend that I don't need to elaborate on.
I just am going to say...
FH and I are so broke.
I mean. I'm less broke than FH.
FH is like... so so broke.
Until the wedding. He has like absolutely no play money.
And because of that... I have less play money.
Whhhyyyyy did I spend money foolishly in earlier years and not save?

Broke as in negative cash flows.

As in... we haven't gone out to eat since Christmas time.

I've been there. It's not easy. It teaches you how to be really creative. Like, now the weather is getting nice so maybe you can't swing going out somewhere, but I'm sure you can pack a few sandwiches and drinks and go to the park. Or (if you can swing it), check out halfoffny.com for cheap gift certificates to restaurants. I got one worth $100 to one of my favorite places for $25. It's pretty cool.

I know exactly how you feel - I have A LOT of credit card debt from when I was younger and I'm definitely kicking myself for it now. Things would be so much easier if I was more responsible back then.

aww poo. i start a new job next week so i'm not sure how broke i am because i dont really have an income at this point! but FH and I do enjoy the occasional meal out so let me formally invite you and the lumberjack out for dinner!!!!!! our treat! it will be funnnn!

You def arent alone! Plus Fh and I just bought a house and trying to do some work on it before the wedding (in less than 2 friggin weeks)...THANK GOD for Home Depot credit cards (we both applied for separate ones). We have so much friggin money flying out the door with paying off our vendors in the next week and a half it makes me sick.... ugh.

I know, its so stressful! I think back on all the money I made when I was younger and I can honestly say, I have no idea where it all went!
You will get through it though! After the wedding, hopefully it will be more manageable

LOL Awww, that's so sweet. You don't have to do that though. Being broke has made FH lose almost 30 lbs. How's THAT for 'Yes We Can' ??

Barb, why won't you use the money you got from the wedding to pay off the photographer? What the hell else are you gonna do with it? It's a wedding-expense not a just for fun thing?

We are broke too. I've never felt like this in my entire life. It's really hard. Dino lost his job 3 months ago and is having trouble finding something else. I'm applying to get a 2nd job waitressing because I dont see how we can afford anything else at this point.
Thankfully, we have the money saved to pay off all the major vendors, but with paying bills and with birthdays and going out to dinner/movie like once a month, we haven't been saving anymore for the wedding. ughhhhhhhhh I hate it :(
I have $80 to use for the month.

I told FH he has to start putting money into a seperate savings account so I can know how much money he has saved for us moving into a place in the fall.
He hasn't done it on his own so I started taking $10 a week from him saying... I don't care if it's even just your change from the week - I want to see SOMETHING in there every week.... you can add more per week later.
I asked for $10 Saturday. He was like 'Yeah I dont have $10'
'How about $5?'
He gave me four singles and he was like 'that's my food money for the weekend.'
