I just got a call from a rep of 21st century today's bride and they're telling me I won a 3 day vaaction and a $500 gift certificate from a bridal show i went to about a month ago. the catch is i have to go to a hotel tomorrow night and listen to a sales pitch from their company that sells china, serveware etc and I have to take my fiance` and bring ID. the priizes according to the woman i spoke with are guaranteed whether or not i purchase something from them. i was just wondering if this is legit and if u girls have ever gotten a call from this compnay before. thanks

I got calls for about 6 months after I went to one bridal show. I never responded. I ended up telling people who called that I was married already and to please take me off the list. I dont want to worry about that sorta stuff while im planning a wedding. I could care less what I won. But I never got a call from century 21. So I really cant say if its true or not. Im sorry- I would try calling them up one day and just asking if they are doing something like that without giving your name. And ask them what show they saw you at- see if you remember putting your name into anything. Good luck.

I've 'won' that rpize about a dozen times now. it's a sales pitch. Some girls ahve gone and gotten the free trip, etc...but it's not really a prize.

Sounds like a sales pitch. I got about 8 calls like that (not from that specific company) before, but I did not respond to any of them.

It's just a sales pitch...sorta like when you sit through a timeshare presentation to win free tix to something. they use the 'free prize' to lure you into sitting through their presentation with the hopes that they'll win you over into purchasing whatever product they are selling.

i have never been to a bridal show and i got the same call. I just deleted the VM, figuring it was some sorta scam.

It's a scam. They go under many names, including Royal Prestige. If you do a google search on them, you'll see there's been a lot of complaints filed against them. Things like being charged $1200 for pots and pans that were never purchased, etc.

omg girls thanks so much for telling me about this - I must have sounded so corny when I was on the phone with the rep because I was genuinely excited about finally winning something but then when i got off the phone i thought about it and figured i should check with u girls first. i'm gonna call later and cancel or just not show up

I keep getting the call, AND keep telling them I keep getting the call, and they STILL call. I knew there was a catch once I found out what it was. I told them to take me off there call list. I have not gotten a call since!

My BTB was hooked into this as well, I was very apprehensive, but that's because I don't trust anything that's free. She was so excited and she didn't want to listen to my negativity, which I admit can be tiresome.
They said she got it through a magazine subscription, we went to the hotel that is right next to the airport which was sketchy enough. Then the seminar was in the basement of the hotel, even sketchier. We were never notified about any seminar or survey that asked for our SSN and CC info. We wound up blowing up at one of the organizers and she blew up at a rep on the phone.
Long story short, it's a scam, you may get the free 3 night stay at some crappy hotel but you still have to pay for the plane tickets and some of the locations they pick are less than safe for vacationing.

me too several times they called. The last time I just hung up on them. I was like I have told you guys before to stop calling me and just yesterday I told someone to take me off your list and hear you are again.

i've gotten the same call---didn't bother...all a scam and sales pitch.
and those royal prestige people s*ck....stay away from anyone from that company!!!
