Just got a call!! - UPDATED - I HAVE A GOD DAUGHTER!!!

My MOH (and BF in the world) is in labor!! Woo-hoo!!! After 3 miscarriages in 2 years, it is finally their time!! They have asked me to be the godmother and I am honored and thrilled!!

Question - I got a gift from Tiffany's for the baby - should I bring it to the hospital tonight, or should I just wait until they get home??? I am thinking the hospital might be super crazy and the little blue box might be tempting to sticky fingers!!

Any thoughts??

Congrats

I would wait till the baby is home. I was so in a fog in the hospital that I couldn't remember who brought what gift and if anyone did I think she will appreciate it when you go to see the baby at home, plus you can do it when it is just you and her not with 50 million people there

Definitely wait till they get home to give the present. Maybe you can just bring something small to the hospital.

I would wait until they get home to give the present. I usually bring up a disposable camera and a small photo album to the hospital.

wait until they get home...they'll have enough to carry home as it is...including their new little bundle of joy...congratulations Godmother!!!

Emma Rose was born at 3:22pm yesterday afternoon. My cousin was only in active labor for about 3 hours, but there were some issues and Emma had to be vacuum-extracted (not sure if i have that phrase right). my poor cousin had to deal with visitors only 3 hours after giving birth and she was a CHAMP!!! she was walking back and forth from her room to the nursery constantly - at the beginning of visiting hours, Emma was still under the infant warmer. about 1/2 hour before visiting hours ended Emma was all bundled up and brought out. she is absolutely beautiful!!! she opened her eyes while i held her, but for the most part slept. my cousin said she has been very quiet today, but eating like a champ. since my cousin is going back to work after only 3 weeks (she owns her own business) she has decided not to breast-feed. Mom and Baby are coming home tomorrow morning.
