just regular roses, and filler flowers like hydrangea
I told her i needed it to be all white with not alot of green showing.

no ceremony flowers, they will use the centerpieces for hte ceremony

well call them up and tell them you've seen quotes others have received for more flowers than you are getting, and wanted to know how come...Who did you speak to there?

the thing that i dont get with the high centerpieces vs. low centerpieces is High is more but your just borrowing their tall holders
with the low centerpieces the guests get to keep those really nice glass vases,

they own those tall candleabras so that doesnt make sense to me

yeah it *****, but its more work for high cp's, long stems cost alot more so thats why

regardless of the CPs - you're asking for relatively inexpensive flowers... That's prob why she said you were easy...

Nicole, go to another florist on the same par as Pedestals like Flower Michele or In Full Bloom - tell them what you want (exactly what you're getting from Pedestals) and say your budget is $2500 - see if they laugh at you or tell you it's doable... Then you'll know that $3600 is too high...

YOWZAH!!!!!!

Thats seems ridiculously priced - $3600 for that.

i really liked pedastals work, i thought the store was really nice very pretty,

I am very easy, i told her only white flowers, that are in season and the cheapest ones she had, since my theme is all white.
i said the high centerpieces i just wanted small rounded balls on top, nothing on the bottom or cascading down.

hmmn, odd Vito the actual designer quoted me almost 1/2 of what another florist quoted, for the CP we saw @ Eastwind. It was white , all white, hydrana's callia lily's & white roses, hmmn I posted a thread on VHB, asking for quotes on other CP designs & I got great quotes, so far...

I'm working with Robert and also met with Ginny (sp??) AMAZING people there!

Nicole...I went to Sugar Magnolias and Lovin Oven floral design as was quoted 5500 and 4100. When I left each place...I was like WOW...I love these guys...great work...excellent reputation...and then I came to my senses...they are just flowers...I am going to continue to look around until someone gives me a reasonable price. Most of my flowers were hydrangias, roses, some orchids and some other cheap flowers. I may need to cut down on some of the church flowers and/or use less orchids...

What I'm getting at is this was your first forist place...go to a few more so you have something to compare it with. I felt how you did, they did a great job and I was happy...why shop around?...but I have 2 more appts...we'll see...I'll post how it went.
