I stopped at Fortunoffs after work tonight. It's so depressing! I wanted to cry. Things are scattered all over the store and the people that work there look so sad.
If anyone is interested - they are NOT taking returns and most items are 10-20% off.

I work at that mall, and it really is depressing My managers friend worked there for 30 years and her job was eliminated and was given nothing! No severance, no benefits- Nada! It's terrible!

I really wonder what's going to happen to the other stores at that mall. Circuit City is gone and now so is Fortunoff. I have worked right off of Old Country Road for about 15 years and I've never seen so many empty stores.

Ya i'm gonna be honest, I'm scared. There are a lot of stores that closed in the mall including the card store, circuit city, steve & barrys and now fortunoff.
I really hope it doesnt affect me and my store

that's just so so sad i can't believe all of these large business are closing around us. it's such a scary state to be in!! i just that things will turn around. i know they can't turn around as quickly as everyone wishes, but i just hope it happens as fast as it can and we can all go about our lives w/o having to worry about our job security!!!

Awww I know! I just saw a commercial saying EVERYTHING MUST GO at Fortunoffs! Eventhough I knew they were going out of business... I still made this face
Its just crazy! So many places are going out of business!

Whats really horrible is that noone who registered there has gotten any notices regarding this! I feel terrible for the employees there but I'm really aggravated at the corporation. Even if miraculously they were saved, I would STILL keep my registry elsewhere.

I know they are not doing returns but are they accepting exchanges? I wanted to go and change my sheets that I got from my shower along with the rest of the pieces of my bedding.

Fortunoffs is a Long Island institution. My mom registered there. I always planned to be a Fortunoffs bride. And not to mention what will life be like without the Fortunoffs Christmas store. It all is so depressing and wrong.

Yeah my registry is there and I haven'g gotten any notices at all.
It does suck ... my friends registry was there and since the website disappeared last thursday her whole registry is gone so now she has to re-register somewhere else not knowing what people got her or what was left! ... i know that with my registry they were just deleting things off it when someone bought something, so I was a lil surprised with some of my gifts at the shower because i forgot I registered for some of the things, thank god most of my registry was at BBB!

Ugh this is annoying. First a letter telling me how I can still update my registry earlier this week and NOW no more exchanges. I have this crock pot which I wrote about yesterday- NO ONE CARRIES IT except for Fortunoff's. SO I am stuck!

On the website, it says that they are still accepting returns for purchases made before 2/16. That only goes for a few more days, though. Purchases after 2/16 and current purchases are final.

I did this too and had the woman basically deleted all the stuff they didnt have anymore because they arent getting anything new in
