Just got back from Greece..(sorry Update with Pic)

Hey Ladies,

I just got back from Greece with my Fiance. We were there for a week to celebrate my 26th bday. Just wanted to share some pictures for the brides that are planning on going to either Athens or Mykonos. It was so pretty there you have nothing to worry about!

We would totally recommend Mykonos Palace hotel in Mykonos. The staff was so nice, they actually put us in one of their best room because they saw it was my birthday from my passport.

So if you have any question about Greece.. let me know..

Im glad you had a great time. What a way to celebrate a bday, lol. I rememeber us talking about going this summer. Your pics looks amazing. I miss it sooo much. I have some of my pics are in my album. Was it really bad with the fires going on? I had left just in time

Yeah, I want to plan a honeymoon to Greece but I was hoping to get some insight on how things were with the fires out there. How was everything?

They are all out now. If you are going to the Aegean side you have nothing to worry about no fires there this summer. But northern Greece is burnt badly. And where I am from, a very beautiful island consisting of 90% greenery has turned to dust all burnt

Actually we didn't get affect by the fire at all, i mean we did see one of two angry posters around town but that was about it. I mean it's so sad to hear someone would do things like this because of politics.

But don't worry ladies; you have nothing to worry about if you are planning your honeymoon there! It was breath taking!!

Make sure you rent a Moped if you do go to the islands.. Definitely worth it..

Also another island Airline Rave!! Agean Airlines.. 19 euros one way from Athens to Mykons in 25min and they ever serve you a chocolate croissant and drinks!! Can't beat that right?

Thanks, I was wondering about this. Is it better to travel from Island to Island by boat or plane? The package I was looking at offered travel between islands by a boat but I am unsure if that is the best way to travel. How are the waters are they very rough?

Was this a small plane? I am afraid to fly in small planes.

Well when are you planning are going? From my experience the waters are calm from June-Aug, then they get a little rough in Sept on, unless there is a storm which is rare but happened to me before during one summer. I love taking the boat everywhere. I have taken Aegean/Olympic to the islands but the planes are kinda small and I get alittle scared but its nothing.

I would prefer to fly, just because the time is shorter.

Flying from athens to mykonos = 25min
Speed boat = 2.5 hrs
Another kind of boat = 3.5 hrs

I guess it really depends on which one is cheaper. It was actually cheaper for us to fly instead of taking the speed boat. we paid a total of $75 per person round trip on Agena airline (it's a big plan, fit about 200 passengers).

And the boat ride would have been $100 per person.

The water was really calm when we were there in Sep. so i don't know about other months. But the first week of september its not a bad week to go. because the tourist are all gone and hotels are alot cheaper!
