So it turns out, the ceremony area at leonards is waaaayyyyy too small for my wedding the only thing I can hope for is that they will take another room (one that holds receptions) and convert it into a ceremony area...but i'll only be able to find that out 2 weeks before! they have to make sure no one books all of the rooms between now and the time of my wedding...the only thing that's good is that my wedding is in december and not a lot of people get married in december...I hope they don't book all of the rooms... but in any case, I need to find a backup location for my ceremony....and being that it's in december, any park is out of the question.. do you guys have any suggestions for any indoor ceremony locations??

Well bummer that the space is small. That is crazy that you wouldn't know until a few weeks before the wedding, but its probably because of holiday parties other than weddings. Is a church out of the question? I'm trying to think of indoor ceremony places....hmmmm...

I'm so sorry that Leonard's can't accomidate you for your wedding ceremony. We'll think of something nice for your upcoming wedding. Your wedding is going to be in the Winter, right? Maybe have it in a nice house or something.

I don't know...I guess i have to be willing to accept anything... ..it's bad though because it's bad enough it's in the winter, but then to have people travel a lot.... and a lot of my guests are older and are coming from brooklyn...uggghhhh I really think something should be available at leonards though....no one does anything near christmas.....right?? I hope leonards doesn't book all of the rooms..

Awww.. that *****
What about having your ceremony in one part of your Rh...like they can block it off with a curtain or a wall, put the tables on the other side...then move everyone to the cocktail hour room. This way they have an hour to set up.

Re: Just got back from leonards
I was thinking maybe a hotel...Leonard's is in Great Neck? Maybe Inn at Great Neck would rent you the space for a ceremony for like an hour? Seems like a nice place-there is a picture of a ceremony set up there on the right-hand side.
other places use your reception room and change it over during CH u already reserved that room so i'd ask about that
