Just got back from my Aunt's wake

It was so incredibly awful, it didn't even look like her, it was open which I think IMHO is truly barbaric, especially if they've battled a long illness, as she did, and to sit there and just watch, it was just ....awful.....I'm so glad this evening is over....

I'm so sorry with your loss. I hope in time you can appreciate your memories of her in happier times and that those memories bring you comfort.

I'm so sorry, and I agree with your sentiments. Try not to remember her as you saw her tonight, but as you did when she was healthy and vibrant.
