just got back from my dj appointments.................

they were awesome!!! i loed them both!!!! this is such a hard decision but i have one more appointment next week!!!!

we went to feel the vibe & starlight express- we loved them both - we werent able to meet w/ high voltage or FM but will meet with them soon. by next month i plan to book our dj- we are ging to see satisfaction sometime next week- they are awesome!!!

I did one appointment and they guy looked like he was on coke or really nervous. Fh and I can be really demanding with music because both of us came from a music business background. I told him that so I appologized ahead of time if we are fussy. Fh and i were pretty hard on him because we wanted to express we want the music we picked out played and not just a few songs off our list. That and we thought he was some silly kid doing it.

We also wanted to make sure what is on the DO NOT play list is not played. We told him if he puts anything on the do not list on we will get up and possibly cause harm to him ... then laughed about it. We wanted no throw aways or big light show/fog... just basic. He said the basic package has small lights and a fog machine and we would have cocktail hour music and then reception music. We saw a video that made fh and i see him in action and he was good. I understand why we need a MC and not just a dj but it old him i didn't want him to pull people up to dance or get in their face etc.

THe price wasn't so bad it was 1,250 for 6 hours (i think cause the ceremony music). I will give him cds that are all ready made for cocktail hour and we agreed if he we book him that if no one dances to the songs we had picked we give him free range to put stuff on that he thinks people would dance to as long as its not on the do not play list.

PS the guy who we were talking to was the owner of the business and 41 years old. WE WERE SHOCKED!!!

We are looking at another dj this weekend possibly or we may put it off completely till next year.

I think this is the hardest of all the things to pick out.
