Just got back from my first fitting... with pics!

Well, my new dress came in (the salon got the wrong color last time) so I went today for my first fitting. Right dress, right color this time (good thing being the wedding is less than two months away). The cost for alterations is outrageous! Especially for the hem. All I need is cups, bustle and the hem. Anyway, here are some pics - just ignore any weird expressions on my face and my hair. The first is the front view, second is rear view, third is a close-up of the front of the bodice and the fourth is the rear of the corset bodice (it wasn't laced perfectly but you get the idea). The bustle is in the rear view, but it was only done on the right side. This is getting exciting now!!!

just curious- how much is your hem?
Mien was $100, but it wasn't really a hem, they are making the dress to my length, & there is beading & embroidery involved, so I guess that explains the cost.

Yes it is a Maggie gown - the Avalon.

As for the hem... I'm getting hosed on that one. They are charging $150! I think it's because they're not making anything on any other included alterations, so they decided to charge me a lot for that (the only other things I had done were the bustle and cups, both extra from the alterations cap).
