Just got back from Paces

My DH LOVED IT! He had the porter house marinated and loved every bite..

I am sooo glad we went.

i am not a steak person but i figured i would try...i had the petite filet mignon..and we both had the mashed potatoes

ETA...and their service...excellent...i felt like i had 4 waiters attending us

Thats Great! I have never been there. I hear the prices are a bit high, but Im sure its worth it. That place is packed every night.

To just go out for dinner..imo yea it is high..but this was for my DH's b-day so we wanted to do something more special

PLUS the porter house wasn't that bad...usually much more expensive in other restaurants

There are 2
We went to the one in Hauppauge on 347
and there is one in Port Jeff (never bee there)

Hey that place is right by me. How did you get in? We tried making a reservation there once upon a time for FH's b-day, but even w/ a reservation it was still a long wait.

I called and got a reservation for 5:30 and we were seated immediately..Maybe because it was earlier?

We just went to the one in Port Jeff for our anniversary...I didn/t really think it was worth the money really and I thought the waiters were to OTT - they basically were screaming Tip me, tip me, tip meeeeee!

Maybe it's because I wasnt' feeling well. I had the sesame tuna and there were way too many sesame seeds on it. Not to mention the tuna was huge and I barely made a dent in it.

Not worth the $160 we dropped there. JMO

We had an expensive bottle of wine - I think it was $54 DH is such a wine snob and they had a certain kind that he loves, so we splurged. We did have a $50 gift certificate, so that helped.
