If you remember all this week i have been upset b/c my face is SOO broken out! Like, worse than it has ever been in over a year.
Well, she gave me a few cortisone shots, so the swelling should go down, and she actually gave me a prescription for 7days of prednisone
She said she typically dosnt do that, but since my wedding is in just a few days it should help to clear it up, i am keeping my fingers crossed!!
Only problem is...one of the side effects is not being able to fall asleep!! That is all i need, lol....but i guess it is hard to sleep the week of our wedding anyway!

the cortizone shots should def help....ive had cortizone injected into scar tissue from biopsies ive had done and it helped....FH has also had cortizone shots for when he was on accutane and had bad acne and it worked...

ack how bad did they hurt! i got those shots ALL over my back before my wedding - i think he had to do it over 20 times! i cant imagine on my face
then i secretly freaked bc my back was so swollen that night - then in the morning my back looked AMAZING, better than it ever had my whole life
so all of that plus makeup - and you will be perfection!!!!

sounds like your dr is doing everything she can to make sure you look flawless!

The steroids definitely will keep you up at night. Try to take them when you wake up after you eat something (don't take on an empty stomach) so it doesn't affect you as much when you're trying to fall asleep. I was on steroids once and I had to do that-already have insomnia!!! HTH

I was under the assumption that the predisone makes you gain weight, bloating very fast. Make sure I am wrong. You don't want to have a problem fitting into the dress. Also, watch taking it if you are drinking. Also, some meds have restrictions on the amount of sunlight you can be exposed to. Just look into it if you are going on a honeymoon. I didn't know you could use cortisone for that. It must have been painful. I just found out last year I am highly allergic to it. It does work amazingly though. Good luck with everything.
